Summary

The Pro Yakyuu: Pennant Race drops you onto a crisp, bird’s‑eye view of the diamond, letting you watch every pitch and swing from a lofty angle that feels oddly cinematic for a 1980s console. The overhead layout makes fielding a puzzle, as you juggle throws and catches with a simplicity that still feels satisfying today.

Born from Whiteboard’s earlier Great Baseball, this sequel refines the core mechanics while keeping the same charming pixel art, and it never left Japan’s shores after its 1987 launch on the Sega Master System. The game’s exclusive home‑market release gives it a cult‑status among collectors, especially those who love a retro baseball experience that’s both familiar and fresh.
