Summary

Rocky Super Action Boxing stands out as the first officially licensed game drawn from the Rocky film saga, taking its inspiration directly from Rocky III and bearing the design hallmark of Coleco.

Players can step into the gloves as either Rocky Balboa or his fierce rival Clubber Lang, challenging a computer opponent in a solo bout or squaring off against a friend in a "Head to Head" two‑player showdown; a "Demo" mode also lets you watch the two icons trade punches.

Each match is shaped by the chosen skill level, offering two, five, ten or fifteen one‑minute rounds, and your boxer is confined to three vertical lanes while you can also shift forward toward your opponent’s side of the ring.

The four‑button controller splits duties cleanly: two buttons deliver offensive blows to the head or body, two handle defensive blocks for each zone, and a separate input lets you duck. Scoring is simple—landing a hit on the guard nets one point, while a clean punch to the head or body scores two.

Victory comes either by delivering a knockout or by out‑scoring your foe when the final bell rings, making every round a tactical tug‑of‑war.
