Summary

Poseidon Wars 3‑D drops me straight onto the bridge of the U.S.S. Poseidon, a heavily armored cruiser bristling with 76 mm guns, radar, sonar and surface‑to‑surface missiles. The game plays as a fast‑paced rail shooter, forcing me to dodge a relentless barrage of jets, torpedoes and enemy ships while keeping the guns locked on hostile blips. Each mission starts with a frantic training round that teaches how to switch between gunfire and homing missiles based on the radar and sonar readouts. A built‑in fuel gauge doubles as a realistic time limit – once it runs out, the cruise ends in disaster and the mission fails automatically. Completing objectives earns the navy’s highest accolade: a promotion to Fleet Admiral, making every successful sortie feel like a real naval triumph.

Storyline

Poseidon Wars 3‑D drops you in as a fresh United States Navy cadet. Your first assignment is to prove yourself in a series of submarine patrols, hunting down enemy battleships and any other strategic targets that threaten the war effort. Each successful tour earns you points toward promotion, and after enough missions you climb the Navy’s rank structure toward admiral.

The game’s progression is tied directly to your combat record: destroy vital enemy assets, complete the objectives, and the next rank becomes available. Ultimately the storyline is a straightforward climb from cadet to flag officer, with each mission serving as a stepping stone in your naval career.
