Summary

Nekkyuu Koushien is a little‑known baseball title that appeared on the Sega Master System, but only in Japan. For English‑speaking retro fans it feels like a hidden gem, a snapshot of how the sport was packaged for a console that never saw a baseball craze outside its home market.

Its Japan‑only release makes original cartridges a rare find for collectors, and the game’s very existence hints at a niche audience that Sega tried to reach in the early ’80s. Even without a Western launch, the title has become a point of curiosity among enthusiasts who enjoy tracking down obscure regional releases.
