Summary

Sherlock Holmes: Loretta no Shouzou, often just called Loretta no Shouzou, is a hidden gem from the late‑80s that still catches the eye of adventure‑game collectors. It was crafted entirely in‑house by Sega, the same studio that was busy shaping the early console scene, and it never made it beyond Japan’s borders when it debuted in 1987. The game’s exclusive release has turned it into a sought‑after curiosity for anyone digging through the Master System’s library. Its pixel‑art style and dialogue‑heavy puzzles feel like a time capsule of the era’s experimental storytelling. For retro enthusiasts, Loretta no Shouzou offers a rare glimpse into how a major developer tackled a Sherlock Holmes mystery on a modest 8‑bit platform.
