Summary

Cosmic Spacehead is a quirky remake that landed on the Sega Master System, blending point‑and‑click puzzle solving with bite‑sized platforming bursts. You wander the oddball Planet Linoleum, gathering items and swapping them in just the right spots while the game peppers you with quick arcade challenges and assorted mini‑games.

A standout is the two‑player "Pie Slap" mode, where friends can duke it out in a goofy showdown. In this version Linus can leap higher and even flip direction mid‑air, making the platform sections feel smoother. Each major area is linked by a teleport device that you activate with a card, and scattered passwords act as checkpoints. Collect ten Cosmic candy during the arcade bits and you earn an extra life.

The whole experience feels like a 1950s sci‑fi adventure, a radical odyssey that mixes retro charm with a surprisingly varied gameplay palette.

Storyline

Cosmic Spacehead follows Linus, an alien from the planet Linoleum, who crash‑lands on the legendary planet Earth. After returning home expecting a hero’s welcome, he discovers his fellow Linomen doubt that Earth even exists, so he decides to go back—this time armed with a camera.

Flat on Linobucks, Linus must trek across Earth to earn enough money for a new cosmic car and the camera he needs. He even adopts a fake ID for Larry Flynt to enter a bumper‑car contest, hoping the prize will fund his quest.

Along the way he quashes a robot uprising in Detroitica and later refuels at an abandoned space station, completing his interplanetary adventure.
