Summary

Air Rescue feels like a love‑letter to the classic Choplifter, dropping you into the cockpit of a modest helicopter with a single, urgent mission: scoop up hostages and ferry them back to safety. The game forces you to juggle a tight four‑person passenger limit, meaning you’ll be looping back and forth through hostile territory more often than you’d like. Enemies come in every flavor—soldiers, jeeps, tanks, rival choppers and even ground‑launched missiles—so you can arm your rotorcraft with a handful of weapons to carve a path through the chaos. Each of the five stages has its own visual flair, from a bustling theme park to a burning skyscraper, an army base, a sunken submarine and finally a dark cavern, and the round only ends once you’ve delivered the required number of rescued civilians. The blend of frantic rescue runs and varied battlegrounds keeps the tension high and the gameplay surprisingly fresh for a Master System title.
