Summary

Winter Olympic Games lets you step into the 1994 Lillehammer competition and race for one of twenty nations across seven distinct disciplines. The downhill and slalom events unfold in an isometric view, letting you steer the skier relative to the screen, crouch for a burst of speed or bring the skis together to brake. In biathlon you sprint from a side‑scroll perspective, watching a heart‑meter that reflects the athlete’s stamina, then shift to a cross‑hair to hit targets. Ski jumping and freestyle moguls rely on timed button presses to launch and land cleanly, while short‑track skating is tackled from a top‑down angle, demanding rapid left‑right d‑pad taps to keep the skater on the ice. The bobsleigh run drops you into a third‑person 3D chase behind the sled, where smooth steering decides the finish. Each event can be practiced solo, and you can string together a full Olympic schedule, focus on just the downhill sports, or skip them entirely. The scoring mirrors a decathlon, rewarding consistent high placements over isolated gold medals, so strategy matters as much as speed.
