Summary

Wani Wani World is a quirky platformer that landed on the Sega Mega Drive as a reskinned version of Berlin no Kabe, courtesy of Kaneko. You guide the oddball duo Charlie and Smiley through a maze of platforms, ladders and scrolling screens that are peppered with a colorful cast of foes. The only way to deal with those enemies is to dig a hole in the ground, lure a creature into it, then give the critter a swift head‑bash. That single strike sends the enemy tumbling down and, oddly enough, turning it into a burst of items or even tasty food. The mechanic feels both simple and oddly satisfying, turning every encounter into a little puzzle of timing and placement.
