Summary

Virtual Pinball feels like a love letter to Bill Budge’s original Pinball Construction Set, letting you jump straight into a library of 29 ready‑made tables or dive into the editor to craft your own. The editor is surprisingly deep for a Genesis cartridge: you can pick from ten board backgrounds, six visual themes, and tweak everything from music style to ball speed, then save up to ten of your custom creations.

If you start with a blank slate, Workshop Mode hands you a canvas where up to 256 parts can be placed anywhere. The parts roster mirrors real‑world pinball hardware—bumpers, flippers, kick walls, targets, tracks, launchers, blasters, grabbers, and more—so you can build a table that looks and feels authentic.

Gameplay is straightforward: hold A to launch the ball, D‑pad for left flippers, C for right flippers, and B to nudge the table. Each element carries its own point value, from 100 for small bumpers to a whopping 1,000,000 for an active jackpot, giving you plenty of incentive to experiment with layout and strategy.
