Play Two Tribes: Populous II Online

Summary

Two Tribes: Populous II is the name that only the Sega Mega Drive version wears, while the same game elsewhere is known as Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods. The reason for this quirky re‑branding remains a mystery, but it gives the European cartridge a distinct identity.

The Mega Drive edition never left Europe, even though a North American launch was slated under the moniker Populous II: Wrath of the Gods (or simply Wrath of the Gods). That version never hit store shelves, yet collectors have uncovered a prototype ROM that hints at what could have been.
