Storyline

In the opening myth of Twinkle Tale, darkness reigned until three colored lights—red, green and blue—were born. Their endless struggle birthed a white light and a deeper darkness; the white light sealed the four lights inside gemstones and formed the world of Alpherion.

Apprentice magician Saria is called by her mentor to seek the fortune‑teller Raza in Picket Village. Raza warns that the dark wizard Gadou has captured the great wizards of Alpherion and is amassing a monster legion. She hands Saria three magical items and sends her on a quest to stop Gadou.

Saria first rescues the red wizard Olof, who explains that Gadou broke a ban by using his onyx gemstone to summon darkness and communicate with hell. She then frees the green wizard Dohla and the blue wizard Elan, each of whom has had their emerald and sapphire stolen for the same dark ritual.

Armed with a flying robe, Saria reaches Gadou’s castle in the Zard mountains, where she learns he has already summoned the Kaiser Demon. After a fierce battle she defeats the demon, and the king of Alpherion grants her a wish. Saria asks for Gadou’s forgiveness and a proper burial, then looks toward the horizon as a new legend is born.
