Summary
Sylvester & Tweety in Cagey Capers bursts onto the Genesis with eye‑popping, cartoon‑style animation that feels straight out of a Looney Tunes short. I’m constantly swapping between Sylvester’s “Tweety scope” and the occasional cue from Sylvester Jr., which keeps the chase lively as the bird darts from spot to spot. The game throws classic foes—Granny, Hector the Bulldog and even Hippety Hopper—into the mix, and the cat can pick up boxing gloves, bones, pogo sticks, umbrellas or stack boxes to reach impossible platforms or slow his fall. Hiding behind lamps or inside barrels adds a sneaky layer, while points pile up from knocked‑over shelves, catnip bags and clock pickups that extend the level timer. Difficulty is quirky: at 11 % you barely get one stage, but crank it to 81 % or higher and the full roster opens. The title originally belonged to TecMagik, but Time Warner Interactive bought it just before the June 1994 announcement, softened the challenge and launched it in August. It moved over 60 000 units by September ’94 and topped 104 000 by October ’95, earning solid scores of 77 in Italy and 83 in Spain.
