Storyline

Sword of Vermilion follows the son of King Erik V of Excalabria, who learns on his adoptive father Blade’s deathbed that he is the heir to a shattered kingdom. The infant prince was saved when Castle Erik fell under the assault of King Tsarkon, who had been corrupted by the Rings of Evil. Blade raised the boy in the village of Wyclif, keeping the ancient Ring of Wisdom hidden until the moment the boy was ready. Eighteen years later the prince sets out to fulfill his destiny and avenge his father.

His quest is to locate the eight Rings of Good that were scattered by Tsarkon after he turned the prince’s mother to stone. Along the way he visits towns and villages, battles monsters for experience, and gathers swords, shields, armor, herbs and candles. Boss encounters appear in side‑view battles where magic cannot be used, serving as key story milestones. By uniting the rings he can confront Tsarkon, defeat him and banish evil from the world of Vermilion.
