Play Story of Thor, The - Hikari o Tsugumono Online

Summary

Beyond Oasis, the Western name for The Story of Thor: Hikari o Tsugumono, first lit up the Mega Drive in 1994 as an action‑role‑playing gem from Ancient and Sega. I love how the game’s bright palette and fluid combat feel like a bridge between classic platformers and the deeper RPGs that followed. Years later, the title resurfaced on the Wii’s Virtual Console—March 19, 2007 in North America and April 5 the same year in Europe—giving a new generation a chance to chase its sun‑lit quests. It even earned a spot in Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, landing on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and made its way into the European Mega Drive Ultimate Collection. Each re‑release feels like a reminder that Thor’s legacy of light still shines bright for retro fans.
