Summary

Sonic Classic Heroes is a fan‑made ROM hack that stitches together the full Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 campaigns into a single Mega Drive cartridge, thanks to a collaboration between flamewing and ColinC10. It lets you swap between a roster that includes Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and even Chaotix members.

The flying duo—Tails and Charmy—can literally soar, their wings letting them glide over obstacles while a legion of friends follows when they power‑up. Meanwhile the power pair—Knuckles and Vector—deliver crushing blows, climb walls and execute a Power Dash that feels like a miniature earthquake.

New shield power‑ups spice the combat: a homing shield locks onto Robotnik’s bots, fire and electric shields scorch or short‑circuit them, and a bubble shield gives a brief underwater safety net.

The hack also weaves the Sol Emeralds into the Special Zone, letting the Chaos Emeralds and Sol Emeralds combine for a familiar ultimate ability—collect all 14 and unlock it.
