Play Sonic 3: D.A. Garden Edition Online

Summary

Sonic 3: D.A. Garden Edition is a community‑crafted ROM hack that builds on the classic Sonic 3 & Knuckles experience. Developed by the D.A. Garden team, the hack adds 23 brand‑new acts that mirror the original’s scale while keeping the feel of a "vanilla" Sonic game. Every new level layout was designed to fit seamlessly into the existing world, offering fresh routes without sacrificing the familiar speed‑run vibe.

In 2020 the project received a significant boost when a user known as Thorn ported the hack to the Sonic 3 AIR engine. This mod lets players enjoy the D.A. Garden Edition with the extra visual and audio enhancements that the AIR framework provides, effectively marrying retro design with modern polish. The result is a fully featured, stand‑alone experience that feels both nostalgic and newly discovered.
