Summary

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on the Genesis is a one‑on‑one fighting game that splits its action into two distinct modes. In Scenario Mode you face a regular‑sized monster as your chosen Ranger—Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink or Black—then the same foe returns as a towering giant, forcing you to switch tactics on the fly. Beat the Green Ranger and the Dragonzord unlock, and the Green Ranger becomes playable, a feature unique to the Genesis (and Game Gear) version. Battle Mode lets two players duke it out head‑to‑head, while the game offers eight difficulty levels to keep the challenge fresh. Published by Sega with cartridges produced under the Banpresto label (a Bandai pseudonym), the title was criticized by GamePro for its one‑dimensional gameplay and uneven difficulty, but fans still enjoy the chance to command the Megazord and smash massive enemies in classic Power Rangers style.

Storyline

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the Sega Genesis, five ordinary teens discover they can morph into the Power Rangers. They band together to foil the plans of the evil Empress Rita Repulsa. Their mission is to stop her schemes and save planet Earth. The game follows their transformation and heroic battles against her forces.
