Storyline

Langrisser II lets you steer Erwin through a web of shifting loyalties. He starts with the Descendants of Light, fighting the Rayguard Empire that has enlisted the Dark Lord Böser to seize the legendary swords Alhazard and Langrisser. Depending on player choices Erwin can stay loyal, join the Empire under Kaiser Bernhardt, betray both sides to side with Böser, or forge an independent path that pits him against the Goddess Lushiris herself. Leon, leader of the Empire’s Blue Dragon Knights, repeatedly offers to switch sides, and each decision reshapes who becomes ally or enemy, even turning former commanders into partners. The story culminates in confrontations with the Prince of Darkness, the divine avatar Jessica, and finally Lushiris, whose warnings hint at future rebellions after Erwin’s quest for absolute peace.
