Summary
Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition carries the arcade‑style, side‑scrolling action of its predecessor onto the Sega Mega Drive and its American counterpart, the Genesis. As a direct sequel, it builds on the original’s dinosaur‑filled chaos, giving players another chance to chase—and escape—from the iconic creatures. Sega’s involvement means the title retains the bright graphics and tight controls that fans expected from a mid‑90s console hit. For retro‑gaming enthusiasts, Rampage Edition remains a nostalgic bridge between the classic movie‑based gameplay and the era’s home‑console excitement.
Storyline
Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition drops you into the chaotic aftermath of the original film. Dr. Alan Grant manages to lift off Isla Nublar in a rescue helicopter, but the Costa Rican Army is already blasting sections of the island to wipe out the remaining dinosaurs. As he watches, a second chopper filled with armed InGen field agents touches down, clearly aiming to salvage any leftover dinosaur eggs or DNA.
Grant tries to radio the army for help, but his pilot refuses to cooperate and the aircraft spirals into a crash. He survives the wreck and finds himself stranded among the burning jungle and the very creatures the army is trying to eradicate. With the InGen team moving deeper into the park, Grant knows he must stop them before they can restart the nightmare.
The game’s storyline forces you to navigate the island’s hazards, battle rogue dinosaurs, and sabotage InGen’s operation, all while racing against the army’s demolition schedule.
