Summary

George Foreman's KO Boxing lets you step into the gloves of the 43‑year‑old champion as he chases an undisputed heavyweight crown across three fictional circuits. The game plays from a right‑shoulder, third‑person view, letting you shuffle left or right, block, and fire punches with both hands; a standard cross is the default, while holding the Up button throws a jab. Each bout follows a three‑round structure where four knockdowns end the fight, and three knockdowns in a single round trigger a technical knockout; otherwise judges tally punches landed, knockdowns and overall damage to decide the winner. As you progress through a dozen opponents, a portrait beside each fighter’s energy meter becomes increasingly battered and bloodied, giving a visual cue to the damage you’ve dealt. Since the cartridge lacks a battery save, a password system records your career progress. Developed by Beam Software for the SNES and Genesis, the title borrowed heavily from Power Punch II and was widely panned for its clunky animation, limited move set and steep difficulty, earning low scores across several magazines.
