Summary

FIFA Soccer 95, often just called FIFA ’95, took the solid foundation of its predecessor and turned the Sega Genesis into a bustling football hub. Over 200 club squads now line up, pulling teams from England’s Premier League, France’s Ligue 1, Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, the Dutch Eredivisie, Spain’s La Liga, plus clubs from Brazil and the U.S., which instantly expands the tournament roster to a league, cup and playoff for each nation. The cartridge’s battery backup finally lets you save up to four competitions, ditching the old password hassle, while a new Penalty Shootout mode offers a quick way to settle ties. Gameplay feels tighter too: the removal of one‑touch passing makes passes feel more deliberate, and the revamped passing, set‑pieces and goalkeeping address the weak spots fans noted in the first game. Even with fictional player names, the isometric view and four‑player support keep the experience lively, earning it praise as the best soccer title on the 16‑bit system.
