Summary

The Disney Collection on the Sega Genesis is a neat little bundle that brings two of my favorite cartoon heroes to the console in one go. It pairs the whimsical platforming of Castle of Illusion, where Mickey Mouse wanders through enchanted castles, with the adventurous spirit of QuackShot, starring Donald Duck on a globe‑trotting treasure hunt. I love how each game captures the personality of its star—Mickey’s cheerful bravery and Donald’s comically stubborn determination—while delivering tight controls and colorful, sprite‑rich worlds. The compilation feels like a nostalgic trip back to Saturday mornings, perfect for anyone who grew up watching those characters on TV.

Storyline

The Disney Collection for the Sega Genesis brings together two classic platform adventures. In Castle of Illusion, Mickey Mouse follows a wicked witch who has kidnapped Minnie; to break her spell and rescue her, Mickey must locate seven magical gems while battling spellbound enemies.

QuackShot starring Donald Duck sends the feathered hero on a globe‑trotting hunt for Garuzia’s Great Duck Treasure. Donald travels across continents, gathering clues and tools and outwitting a host of hazards to claim the legendary loot.
