Summary

I’m always amazed when I fire up Dinosaur’s Tale on the Genesis and see the world of the Spielberg animated classic “We’re Back!” come to life. The game flips between classic side‑scrolling platform stages—where you guide the human kids Cecilia or Louie through iconic New York spots like a bustling TV studio or a circus trying to turn the dinos into a showpiece—and surprisingly early 3D sequences that let you hop on Rex’s pickup‑truck back or soar as Elsa over Central Park, balloon‑collecting in the sky. Each level feels fresh, and the recurring showdown with the goofy villain Dr. Screweyes adds a playful thread that ties the whole adventure together. For a console that was still figuring out 3D, this title feels like a bold experiment that still holds a quirky charm for anyone who loves retro platformers.

Storyline

Dinosaur's Tale, A (the Genesis version of the Spielberg animated film *We’re Back*) puts players in the shoes of the film’s heroic dinosaurs and the human kids, Cecilia and Louie, as they wander through a bustling New York City. The team must stop the nefarious Dr. Screweyes, whose scheme threatens both the city’s safety and the dinosaurs’ newfound freedom. Their quest takes them to a chaotic TV studio, a colorful circus, and the iconic expanse of Central Park, each location offering its own set of challenges. Along the way, the group battles the villain’s minions while trying to keep the city’s residents from discovering the dinosaurs’ secret. The adventure blends classic platforming with a light‑hearted, family‑friendly storyline.
