Summary

Bio‑Hazard Battle drops you into the aftermath of a planet‑wide biowar, where a rogue retrovirus has turned Avaron into a hostile yet survivable wasteland. The only refuge is the orbiting platform O.P. Odysseus, and you pilot one of four distinct ships, each with its own weapon set and speed, across eight frantic stages.

The game’s 2‑D horizontal scroll feels relentless; you can glide in eight directions with the D‑Pad, fire, dodge, and even block enemy fire by placing a Power Star in its path. Lives range from one to five, three by default, and extra lives appear as 1‑UP icons or when you hit score thresholds of 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000 points.

Visually, the title leans into bright, layered artwork while a deep, bass‑heavy soundtrack drives the pace. You won’t die from simple collisions, but being crushed between a wall and the screen edge is fatal. Storyline

During the first global biowar on the planet Avaron, a powerful retrovirus was released as a deadly reprisal, spawning new and lethal forms of life across the world.

Only a few survivors remain in suspended animation aboard the orbital platform O.P. Odysseus, which circles Avaron. After centuries in cryogenic tanks, the station’s computer awakens the crew to search for a new home.

In Bio‑Hazard Battle, players pilot one of four organic ships called the Biowarriors. They fly over the planet, following probe data that marks the least hostile zones, assess conditions, and ultimately return to the mothership once a viable colony site is identified.
