Summary

Ball Jacks is a quirky sports title that landed on the Sega Mega Drive back in the early ’90s, but only in Japan and Europe. The core mechanic revolves around a conveyor belt that spits out a stream of balls at the far edge of the screen; you have to snatch them up and fling them into a target zone on the opposite side. It feels like a blend of reflex‑driven arcade action and a makeshift carnival game, with each successful drop rewarding you with points and a satisfying clack. The graphics are simple yet colorful, and the sound effects emphasize the frantic pace. Even though it’s unclear whether Ball Jacks is a rebranded version of an earlier Namco experiment, its oddball premise still stands out among the more conventional Genesis sports offerings.
