Summary

ATP Tour Championship Tennis offers a surprisingly deep menu of ways to swing a racket on the Genesis. You can jump straight into an Exhibition match for a quick rally, or dive into an Exhibition Tournament that pits you against a full 32‑player bracket. For a nostalgic twist, the ATP Senior Tour Event lets you pick a retired legend and battle through an eight‑player field, while the full ATP Tour mode lets you create your own pro, earn points round‑by‑round, and watch your skill set grow as you climb the rankings.

The control scheme is stripped down to three buttons, but each one feels purposeful: A lobs, B delivers a controlled passing shot, and C unleashes the fastest topspin you can muster. The D‑pad adds nuance, letting you steer the ball’s direction and depth, which makes even the simplest swing feel strategic. It’s a tidy blend of arcade accessibility and enough depth to keep a tennis fan hooked.
