Summary

Aero Blasters, the Sega Genesis incarnation of the arcade hit Air Buster, fills the screen with crisp, full‑frame graphics and retains the original’s layered parallax scrolling. The sound chip gets a boost too, delivering punchy effects that echo the arcade’s intensity.

At the start you pick one of two sleek Blaster fighters and dive into six scrolling stages, each packed with enemy formations that demand quick reflexes. The game offers seven distinct weapons – from the vertical‑aligned Striker Options to the reverse‑firing diagonal shot, a six‑way spread, homing missiles and straight‑firing rockets – letting you tailor firepower to your play style.

Power‑ups add a protective Border around the ship’s front, while standard upgrades amplify the basic shot and dollar‑sign bonuses sprinkle extra points throughout the run.

The two‑player mode runs side‑by‑side, mixing horizontal and occasional vertical scrolling, so you and a friend can coordinate attacks and survive the relentless onslaught together.

Storyline

In Aero Blasters, two pilots take the helm of the sleek "Blaster Fighter" starships. Their mission is to take down a mysterious mechanical fortress that circles Earth. The fortress threatens to seize control of the planet, so the duo must coordinate their attacks to bring it down. The game’s cooperative focus lets players work together, combining firepower and strategy to protect humanity from the looming orbital menace.
