The game’s four training‑ground levels let you hone aim before the real cases, and every completed scene gets a “CASE CLOSED” stamp on the selection screen. Reloading is oddly satisfying – swing the gun off‑screen or right‑click the cursor’s bottom‑right corner and you’re back in the fight, with unlimited reloads. I’ve noticed the Sega CD version suffers from grainy video and stiff acting, and the standard gamepad feels clumsy compared to the light gun, but the fast‑paced, over‑the‑top action still captures that early‑90s arcade vibe. Storyline

Crime Patrol on the Sega CD puts you in the shoes of a police officer climbing the ranks from Rookie to Delta Force. As a Rookie you partner with a boisterous policewoman to take down burglars, armed robbers and gang members, while each rank—Undercover, SWAT and Delta Force—adds a new partner and tougher foes such as drug smugglers, crime lords, bank robbers, meth cooks, outlaw bikers, and even threats to national security. Every rank is split into three separate scenarios, culminating in a final night‑vision‑filmed mission where you must stop a plot to steal plutonium, confront hijacked nuclear shipments, hijacked planes and assassination attempts.
