Summary

Batman Returns on the Sega CD is a quirky twist on the classic side‑scrolling beat‑em‑up formula. While it reuses the core stages from the Genesis version, Malibu Entertainment added full‑motion cut‑scenes and a handful of 3D driving segments that feel surprisingly smooth for the hardware. The game’s soundtrack pulls directly from the film’s score, giving each punch and jump a cinematic punch‑line. Published by Sega, the title manages to blend arcade‑style brawling with moments that feel more like an interactive movie, making it a standout oddity in the console’s library.
