Summary
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne spins the Mega Man Legends universe on its head, putting the infamous air‑pirate and her legion of Servbots in charge. The game fuses action‑adventure, light RPG elements and puzzle‑solving, letting you pilot the airship Gesellshaft while hunting for treasure.
Three distinct stage types can be tackled in any order: box‑moving puzzles in Teche and Primiki Harbor, a descent‑style exploration segment, and classic action missions like a bank heist near Gold City. A quirky farm side‑quest even asks you to round up pigs, cows and horses.
The Guide Shot system sends individual Servbots on tasks; each bot boasts a unique personality, skill‑tree and a sloth meter that can make them lazy unless you train them in minigames such as the Torture Room. Depending on the mission, you’ll command anywhere from one to seven bots.
The worlds burst with vibrant, colorful 3‑D environments, and the game earned favorable reviews upon release, even bundling a demo of Mega Man Legends 2.
Storyline
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, often just called Tron Bonne, opens shortly before Mega Man Legends. Leader Teisel hunts the Nakkai Ruins for Diana’s Tear, a huge Refractor. After meeting his brother Bon, they are captured by Glyde, an air pirate for loan shark Lex Looth. Tron learns the fortress funds came from Looth and that her brothers face a one‑million‑zenny ransom.
Tron dons a custom Gustaff mecha and leads her 40 Servbots in bank robberies. Officer Denise Marmalade repeatedly tries to stop her, even in a police mecha, but fails. The Servbots also retrieve three Aurora Stones, aid a restless spirit, and match‑make two Diggers. In the ruins Tron continues searching for Diana’s Tear and other artifacts.
After delivering the ransom, Looth demands two million zenny in interest and recaptures Tron. The Servbots rescue her, defeat Glyde, but Looth unleashes the Colossus, wounding Tron and tossing Teisel overboard. The remaining Servbots board the Gustaff, destroy the Colossus and finally defeat Looth. With the villains handed to police and Denise’s job saved, the Bonnes head for Kattelox Island, only to lose a giant Refractor and make an emergency landing to retrieve it.
