Storyline

Tekken 3 opens nineteen years after Tekken 2. After crushing Kazuya in the second King of Iron Fist Tournament, Heihachi Mishima reclaims the Mishima Zaibatsu and forms the Tekken Force, an army protecting the company. A squad sent to an ancient Mexican temple is nearly annihilated by Ogre, prompting Heihachi to hunt the creature for its power.

Jin Kazama, Heihachi’s grandson, lives peacefully with his mother Jun until Ogre attacks their home, killing Jun and leaving Jin unconscious. The Devil Gene marks his left arm, and Heihachi takes the vengeful teen under his wing, sending him to Mishima High School where he meets Ling Xiaoyu, Hwoarang and others. Four years of training forge Jin’s Mishima karate, and on his nineteenth birthday Heihachi announces the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3, hoping the competition will draw Ogre out.

The tournament sees Paul Phoenix defeat the first form of Ogre, only for the monster to transform into True Ogre. Heihachi’s plan backfires, and Jin replaces Paul in the finals, slaying True Ogre and avenging his mother. As the crowd cheers, Heihachi fires a fatal shot at Jin, but the Devil within resurrects him, granting black wings and a final, ominous flight.
