Medal of Honor: Underground drops you into the early days of World War II as Manon Batiste, a French Resistance fighter loosely modeled on real OSS operative Hélène Deschamps Adams. The game’s gritty, rustic aesthetic lets you swing petrol bombs, crack safes with helpful NPCs, and even use Manon’s charm to slip past guarded doors, while you haul a rotating roster of twelve period weapons across seven missions that span France, Greece, Italy and beyond.

Beyond foot soldiers, the levels throw tanks, half‑tracks and motorbikes at you, and three of the missions even let you commandeer those machines. After the main campaign you can jump into the off‑beat bonus stage “Panzerknacker Unleashed,” where you briefly become Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson and battle zombie‑like soldiers, weapon‑wielding dogs and giant nutcracker robots in a castle‑filled nightmare.

Storyline

Set against the backdrop of Nazi‑occupied France in 1940, Medal of Honor: Underground follows French Resistance commander Manon Batiste. After her brother Jacques is killed during a botched heist, Manon throws herself into the underground fight against the Vichy regime and the German occupiers. The OSS eventually discovers her talents and recruits her for covert operations across North Africa and Europe, where she works to disrupt Milice activities and thwart Nazi invasion plans. By 1944, Manon returns to France, joining the final push to liberate Paris and settle the score for her brother’s death.
