Storyline

The game Legend of Legaia takes place in a world called Legaia where humans once lived in harmony with magical beings called Seru. Ten years before the story begins a mysterious Mist spreads across the land, driving Seru mad and turning them into monsters that nearly wipe out civilization. The few surviving humans retreat to remote regions to hide from the Mist.

The quiet hero Vahn, the wild child Noa, and the monk‑warrior Gala each bond with a special Ra‑Seru, a type of Seru immune to the Mist. Together they set out to revive ten Genesis Trees on three continents, pushing back the Mist and destroying the Mist Generators that create it. Their journey brings them into conflict with Songi, Gala’s childhood rival, who has fused with a mutating Seru.

In the ruined city of Conkram the trio travels back in time and learns that the Mist was engineered as a biological weapon by Prince Cort, Noa’s brother. Though they cannot save Conkram or Noa’s parents in the past, they return to the present, destroy the final Mist Generator and defeat Cort, who then merges with the gigantic Seru Juggernaut.

Back in Vahn’s hometown of Rim Elm, Songi and the now‑merged Juggernaut attack, devouring the town. After defeating Songi the heroes enter Juggernaut, defeat Cort once more, and watch the creature collapse. The ending shows Juggernaut’s destruction, Cort reborn as a baby cared for by Noa, and the full restoration of Rim Elm and its people.
