Decades later the Union of Nations launches the Second Sacred Order Tournament, offering any winner’s wish in exchange for blood‑soaked combat. Ten fighters, including the mysterious bounty hunter Sol Badguy and the elite knight Ky Kiske, enter the contest to stop Testament, a Gear seeking to resurrect Justice and annihilate mankind.

Sol defeats Testament but cannot prevent Justice’s revival; in a final clash he defeats the resurrected Justice, temporarily restoring peace. The tournament’s strange prize and the lingering threat of Gears leave the world on uneasy balance.
