Summary

Fighters' Impact throws you into a fast‑paced 3‑D arena where you select from eight distinct fighters, each packing a core technique and two optional sub‑styles—think aikido, boxing, wrestling or karate. The three‑button layout (punch, kick, evade) feels deceptively simple, yet it unlocks a deep combo system that encourages you to string together personalized attacks.

Victory comes after winning two rounds, so mind games and timing are as crucial as button‑mashing. Though the PlayStation launch was Japan‑only, the title’s arcade roots shine through thanks to the same engine, original sprite work and a licensed soundtrack curated by Yasuhisa Watanabe. A minor arcade‑only sequel, Fighters' Impact A, tweaked the formula without altering the core thrill.

Storyline

Fighters' Impact pits a vengeful blind warrior named Barazock against the entire martial‑arts world. Barazock, blinded yet ruthless, vows to annihilate every practitioner and challenges anyone who dares to stand in his way. Meanwhile, eight ambitious fighters battle each other for the chance to confront the enigmatic master.

Among them is the hot‑blooded Shiroh Karasuba, a young prodigy who trained under the same master as Barazock. Driven by personal grudges, Shiroh seeks to settle the score and end Barazock’s rampage. The game’s story unfolds as these rivals clash, each hoping to claim the ultimate duel with the master.
