Storyline

Centipede on PlayStation tells the tale of a cluster of villages called Weedom, living in harmony with nature until a century‑old prophecy awakens. Legend says that every hundred years armored beasts rise from the dark core of the earth to serve the Queen Pede, who seeks to destroy the Wee people. A magic stick is used to summon a hero, but each time the insects are beaten the villagers believe the danger has ended—only for it to return.

The player assumes the role of Wally Gudmunzsun, the chosen champion, and pilots a vehicle known simply as "The Shooter". Wally’s mission is to eradicate the invading insect army and put an end to the Queen Pede’s curse.

The adventure spans five distinct worlds—Weedom, Frostonia, Inferium, Enigma, and Evile—each comprising roughly five levels and culminating in a boss battle. By traversing these realms, Wally strives to break the endless cycle of invasion and finally secure peace for the villages.
