Summary

Storyline

Touch Detective follows Mackenzie, a hopeful investigator who must clear four odd cases to join the Great Detective Society. Her mentor Cromwell provides a gadget that lets her glimpse dreams and other oddities. The results go into her Touch List, which later becomes her official title.

In the first case, Penelope claims her dreams are stolen. Using Cromwell’s device, Mackenzie enters the Dream World, finds the pastry chef using the dreams in a Sweet Dream Cake, and forces the town to sleep together to catch him. He confesses and agrees to limit the theft.

The second case involves Penelope’s disappearance. Clues lead Mackenzie to a planetarium where the owner has been mind‑controlling Penelope to be a friend for a lonely girl, Lynsey. Mackenzie rescues Penelope, exposes the owner, and befriends Lynsey.

In the third case, an ice fairy is stranded at the skating rink as it warms. Mackenzie and Chloe summon a magical song that turns Penelope into an angel, creating snowfall that saves the fairy. A hint of mutual affection between the fairy and Chloe is shown.

The final case concerns a flea‑circus assault. Mackenzie uncovers Dover, a former performer whose tattoo act was ruined by a flea bite, as the mastermind seeking revenge. Cromwell files Mackenzie’s Touch List instead of her report, granting her the title Touch Detective.
