Summary

Playing Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue on the DS feels like a whimsical craft workshop built into a portable adventure. I start by designing my own tiny fairy, then fly around Fairy Camp and the rolling English countryside using the touch‑screen arrows to hop between maps. The game revolves around locating the six rare Rainbow Lilies; each discovery unlocks a new set of minigames that make full use of fairy talents—there’s knitting, cookie decorating and even magical art projects. Online features let you connect to Pixiehollow.com for extra challenges, while the DGamer integration tracks your achievements and lets friends compare scores in multiplayer mode. All in all, the mix of light puzzles, creative side‑quests and cute aesthetic keeps the experience fresh on a handheld.

Storyline

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue follows Tink and her friends at a summer fairy camp in England. Curious, Tink slips into a human house where Lizzy Griffith, the daughter of Dr. Griffiths, discovers her and hides her in a handmade fairy house. Lizzy records everything in a field journal and the two quickly become friends, while Tink secretly repairs the house’s leaky roof and frees a captive butterfly that the scientist plans to show a museum committee.

Meanwhile Vidia gathers Rosetta, Iridessa, Fawn, Silvermist, Clank and Bobble to launch a rescue. Because rain grounds their wings, they build a boat, crash over a waterfall, and continue on foot, eventually reaching the house. Vidian’s guilt over the kidnapping is forgiven as the group works together.

When Dr. Griffiths captures Vidia and drives toward London, Lizzy and the fairies chase the car. Tink sabotages the engine, forcing a stop, and Lizzy pleads with her father to release Vidia. He finally believes his daughter, frees the fairy, and learns to fly with their help.

The story ends with a picnic by the camp’s tree, where Lizzy, her dad, and the fairies read the completed field journal together.
