Storyline

While hosting a party, SpongeBob is charged by Mr. Krabs to guard the Krabby Patty formula. In his excitement he forgets where he hid it and enlists Plankton’s memory machine. Plankton secretly plans to steal the formula and plants robot copies of Patrick and Squidward inside SpongeBob’s memories.

The game, SpongeBob’s Truth or Square (often called Truth or Square), has SpongeBob reliving key moments—his fry‑cook debut, karate with Sandy, his first Christmas, a 24‑hour shift lost in Rock Bottom, jellyfishing with Patrick, and encounters with Mermaidman, Barnacleboy, Squid‑Bot and Pat‑Bot. Each memory becomes a platform level where he battles the robot impostors.

The climax reveals the formula is supposedly in the Krusty Krab safe, prompting Plankton to merge the Chum Bucket into a giant Plankton‑Bot. After destroying it, SpongeBob discovers the paper he hands over is a lottery ticket and the real formula has been in Mr. Krabs’ back pocket all along, leaving SpongeBob baffled.
