Summary

Ninjatown bursts with colorful ninjas defending a peaceful town that’s suddenly threatened after a nearby volcano erupts, unleashing hordes led by the mysterious Mr. Demon. The chaos forces you to marshal each ninja’s quirky abilities—like the Mighty Wind of Ninja Dropping or a stealthy hug—to protect every district.

The game plays from a top‑down view, letting you drag the stylus to place ninja huts along enemy paths. Each hut costs shuriken‑shaped cookies, the town’s currency, and spawns one of eight ninja types—from orange‑clad anti‑ninjas to snowball‑throwing whites. Six optional modifiers, such as a training dojo or a green‑tea bistro, can be attached to huts to boost attack power or speed.

Ol’ Master Ninja, the player’s avatar, gradually unlocks the seven Elder Ninja Powers—mic‑blowing gusts that push foes back, time‑stop abilities, and the devastating Magni‑frying glass. Using these moves drains the Happiness Bar, which refills as enemies fall, giving you a strategic resource to buy extra time for upgrades.

Enemies range from Speedy Devils to Forked Toungeys that multiply when defeated, and even Zombie Ninjas that can infect your own troops. Missions are graded A‑D based on how many enemies slip through, with a hidden “E” grade if you lower the difficulty. Earning higher grades grants tokens that summon special ninjas, like baby ninjas that slow everything or foul‑smelling droppings that damage foes.

Developed by Venan as their first DS title, Ninjatown was pitched in 2007 by Jeremy Pope and shaped with Shawn Smith’s ninja concepts. Storyline
