Summary
I loved grabbing the DS cartridge of Ice Age: Continental Drift – Arctic Games back when handhelds still felt fresh. The package is basically a circus of ten bite‑sized challenges that let you chase the movie’s characters around the icy world. You can slash down a snowy slope with Manny, swing through platform sections as Diego, or help Scrat seal leaking water pipes—each minigame feels like a quick puzzle rather than a full‑blown level. The story mode forces you to pick a side, Manny’s crew or Gutt’s gang, and rack up points for your team before unlocking the free‑play menu. When all events are done the game tallies the food each team collected and crowns a winner, which adds a surprisingly competitive edge to a casual handheld.
Storyline
The adventure kicks off in Ice Age: Continental Drift – Arctic Games when the familiar herd stumbles upon a basket brimming with fruit they instantly dub a treasure. Their excitement is short‑lived, however, as a rival crew led by the hulking Gigantopithecus Captain Gutt discovers the same bounty. Both groups claim the loot, sparking a rivalry that turns the Arctic into a makeshift arena. Determined to prove who truly deserves the prize, the two sides agree to a series of challenges that test their wits, speed, and teamwork. The competition drives the plot forward, turning a simple find into an epic showdown across icy terrain.
