Summary
Garfield Gets Real lets you toggle between Garfield and Odie while you wander through seven interconnected zones that shift from the cartoon strip to the real world.
Each zone is structured as a quick mini‑game and contains a ‘key story challenge’ that pushes you toward the next chapter. Between those you’ll tackle about 150 smaller tasks, such as gathering falling books in the first level, catching food in later levels, or busting out a dance routine to prove Garfield’s identity.
The game also throws in full‑trap sections where you guide a comic‑strip path or rescue Odie, and the whole package was built by Gravity‑i, published by Zoo Digital in Europe and Destination Software in the US. Critics weren’t kind – Metacritic recorded a 39/100 average from four reviews.
Storyline
In Garfield Gets Real, the lasagna‑loving cat is ripped from his comic strip and dropped into the real world. Over seven distinct levels he must gather food, bust out dance moves, and avoid a series of trap‑filled zones. Each stage mirrors a classic comic strip layout, forcing Garfield to piece together panels in the correct order. The quirky navigation culminates in a final showdown where he rescues his loyal dog Odie. The adventure blends cartoon chaos with real‑world obstacles, delivering a quirky platforming romp.
