Summary
Escape the Museum blends classic hidden‑object hunting with light adventure puzzles, letting you rummage through cluttered rooms while uncovering the logic behind each exit. Each hidden‑object level presents a checklist of items to locate, and once you’ve solved enough, the adventure sections force you to combine and use those objects to unlock the next space.
The game contains sixty hidden‑object scenes and twenty‑five separate puzzles, scattered across several chapters. After each chapter you revisit previous adventure rooms to locate ten more examples of a designated object, and the ultimate goal is to gather twelve precious artifacts hidden throughout the experience.
A scoring system watches your accuracy, time, the value of the items you collect and any hints you request. Mini‑games break up the action: you can reassemble scattered paintings like jigsaws or balance weighted scales until equilibrium is reached, and successfully completing them unlocks the special “Antique Round.”
Storyline
Escape the Museum follows Susan Anderson, a museum employee, who brings her daughter Caitlin to the National Museum of History for a day on a warm city afternoon. After the museum closes, a sudden 7.6‑magnitude earthquake rattles the building, forcing Susan to rush Caitlin to safety while the structure collapses around them. Susan then searches the shattered halls for any remaining visitors, but a falling beam knocks her unconscious.
When she awakens, the museum is a maze of debris and broken exhibits. With limited mobility, she must solve a series of environmental puzzles and scour each room for clues. The goal is to reunite with Caitlin and find an exit before the damage becomes fatal.
