The hero awakens as a human but can still see Celestrians and restless spirits.

Stella, a fairy engineer, guides the mortal hero to prove their Celestrian heritage by collecting more benevolessence and repairing the Express. Their quest uncovers the revived Gittish Empire, whose king Godwyn seeks the corrupting power of the wish‑granting Fyggs. Aquila, the village overseer, first appears to aid the empire but later reveals himself as a double agent, returning the stolen Fyggs to the Observatory.

The repaired Express finally reaches the Realm of the Almighty, where Yggdrasil is the goddess Celestria. Aquila sacrifices himself to end King Godwyn, and the freed Celestrian Corvus, fueled by a tragic love for Serena, becomes the last enemy. Defeating Corvus restores peace, and a hidden Fygg in the epilogue lets the hero see Celestrians and ride the Express again.
