Summary
Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu (sometimes just called Harukanaru Densetsu) is a card‑based RPG for the Nintendo DS that lets you replay the Saiyan to Cell sagas. You pick one of the four core heroes—Goku, Gohan, Piccolo or Vegeta—and use their decks against a cast of foes that show up as enemy or support cards.
Missions are broken into a handful of objectives and take roughly five to thirty minutes each. Wins grant experience, which bumps your attack power, and you can combine cards (e.g., three 7‑power cards become a single 21‑power strike). The game features eight card types—including Attack, Training, Power, Item, Escape, Reverse, Support and the versatile Z Card—each influencing battles and the board‑game‑style map.
Multiplayer supports a four‑player wireless battle and a two‑player Download Play match pitting Vegeta against Goku. Critics gave it mixed marks, landing around 57 on Metacritic and about 58 % on GameRankings.
Storyline
Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu (often just called Harukanaru Densetsu) follows the series from the start of the Saiyan Saga through the conclusion of the Cell Saga. The game's narrative covers the entire Saiyan‑Cell arcs, letting players experience the key battles and plot points of those sagas. Gameplay is organized into separate scenarios, each focused on one of the four playable characters, dividing the story accordingly.
