Summary
In Cosmetic Paradise I step into the shoes of Charmville’s princess, guided by Marina and Whimsey as I hone my makeup magic with a DS stylus. Daily requests flutter into the Pamper House inbox, and I choose which client to charm.
Before I can apply any pigment, I dash around town with a limited pool of actions, chatting with passersby for the latest trends and clueing up the perfect products. If I’m short on a certain lipstick or eye‑shadow, a quick stop at the cosmetics shop lets me restock before the makeup session begins. Successful looks reward me with stars, fame and “cosme stones” – the game’s currency.
The idle days are a playground of six quirky mini‑games that sprinkle extra stones, and the town’s hotspots – a cafe, a park, a boy‑friendly arcade – let me boost relationships or earn bonus items. Seasonal festivities, from summer festivals to New Year visits, pop up for a tasty visual treat.
Collecting a hundred stars unlocks the final trial, paving the way to become queen and reveal one of several possible endings. A sequel, Cosmetic Paradise: Make no Kiseki (released as Makeup Artist in the West), expands on this charming formula.
Storyline
Cosmetic Paradise drops you into the glittering world of Cosmetic Land, where you start as a fresh recruit at the town’s bustling beauty salon. Armed with lipgloss, blusher, eyeliner and every other makeup essential, your job is to transform the residents’ looks and lift their spirits. The heroine is the princess of Cosmetic Land, tasked with a royal trial to prove she can become the next queen. Her challenge? Make every citizen happy through the power of makeup while juggling daily duties at the Cosmetic House. As you solve each client’s personal style dilemma, you earn the approval needed to pass the trial and claim the crown.
