Summary

Cosmetic Paradise: Kirei no Mahou is the third entry in the series, and it pushes the fashion‑forward gameplay to a new level. Players can mix and match roughly 2,500 hairstyles in seven colors, choose from about 12,000 clothing combinations, and accessorize with around 80 different items, all while the boys in town react differently to each look. The DSi’s built‑in camera even lets you snap a selfie and apply makeup directly onto your own face. The game unfolds over a two‑year span, advancing month by month from April and peppered with events like sports days, summer festivals and a cosmetics contest. A suite of mini‑games—nail art, rhythm dancing, and more—unlocks as you progress, and all your hard‑earned items and boy‑type preferences carry over into subsequent playthroughs.

Storyline

Cosmetic Paradise: Kirei no Mahou follows the first princess of Cosme Chic Land, a nation where makeup lovers thrive. Unlike her confident second‑princess sister Midori, the heroine doubts her own sense of style and assumes Midori will become the next queen without even studying for the royal exam. One day she bumps into Karen, a world‑renowned makeup artist who runs a school, and is reluctantly dragged into lessons that teach her both how to apply makeup and why confidence matters. As she practices on herself, her pet Pochi, and other characters, she eventually decides to take the queen‑exam challenge. The latter half of the game spans a year of preparation, culminating in a March showdown where she must defeat Midori in a makeup duel; passing crowns her queen, though she can also choose to marry a classmate such as Yuki, senior Kanade, playboy Akira, or gatekeeper Tsukasa and hand the throne to her sister, with a cast that includes the homeroom teacher Manabe and shop manager Akane.
