Summary
Children of Mana takes place on the enchanted island of Illusia, where the iconic Tree of Mana looms over a world called Fa'diel. Long ago a "great disaster" scarred the island's base, and a courageous boy and girl wielded the Sword of Mana to avert catastrophe, a legend that haunts the locals.
Years later a ragtag band of orphans sets out to uncover the forgotten truth, trekking across Fa'diel’s five distinct continents—Jadd, Topple, Wendell, Ishe and Lorimar. Their journey is guided by the faithful dragon companion Flammie, who flies them between locations on the rhythmic "Flammie Drum." Along the way, each region reveals fragmentary pieces of the calamity, forcing the young heroes to confront lingering mysteries while protecting the fragile balance of Mana itself.
Storyline
In Children of Mana, the ancient Mana Tree is under a bizarre threat—it is turning against the world itself. Dark corruption spreads from its heart, and the land is plunged into chaos.
Heroes wield swords, flails, bows, and hammers, striking back at the evil that seeks to devour the tree’s life force. Over 180 magic gems can be slotted to grant new skills and abilities, letting players tailor their combat style for the fast‑paced battles.
The adventure can be shared locally; up to three friends join via wireless link, offering support in a pinch or simply exploring together. Together, they aim to cleanse the Mana Tree and restore balance.
