Storyline

Annie, a lazy girl who spends her days sleeping and dreaming of wealth and fame, lives in a mainland town. Worried about her, her parents turn to her grandfather, a renowned alchemist, for advice. He decides to send her to Sera Island to take part in a large resort development project, hoping the journey will cure her laziness. In the middle of the night his homunculi whisk her away across land, river, and sea.

She awakens with a sharp blow to the head and meets Pepe, a tiny fairy who hands her a letter from her grandfather and promises to teach her alchemy. Pepe explains that alchemy will be needed to build the resort, and Hans, the resort supervisor, soon drags her to the opening ceremony. There, Annie learns that the contestant who contributes the most will earn the title of Meister and be betrothed to the Prince of Orde. The prospect of marrying up spurs her to aim for greatness.

Determined, Annie begins managing her own shop and the resort’s attractions, encountering friends, rivals, and comrades along the way. Over the course of three years she learns the value of hard work and gradually forges her own dream through newfound strength and will. The story follows her growth from a lazy dreamer to a capable alchemist.
